The Box Office Results for January 22-24, 2010 continue to show that ‘Avatar’ is a ship that cannot be sunk. James Cameron is in a mansion somewhere in Los Angeles singing “Ain’t no stopping us now.”
Once again, ‘Avatar’ has topped the box office with $36 Million, what a nice chunk of change for a movie that now has profits and awards to boast for itself.
Coming in 2nd place, with not even a close finish was ‘Legion’ with $18.2 Million. You may not recognize the name of the movie, but you may remember the promo’s for it, sweet old lady in a coffee shop/diner telling a young lady not to worry about her baby; and then she turns into some sort of demon. Yeah, it didn’t do much to draw me into the movie either. But still it did fairly well.
To see the other shocking box office results of the week, you must first be sitting in a chair.
