The newest ‘American Idol’ is Lee DeWyze. After a long drawn out battle and finale, most of the Judges and audience members thought Crystal Bowersox should have won the competition but that was not to be. The voters decided that they wanted Lee to be the next ‘American Idol’ and that is who won the show.
The lead-up to the results consisted of many famous people performing as part of a goodbye to Simon Cowell, who is leaving the show and won’t be returning next season. Some of the celebrity performers included The BeeGees, Dane Cook, Janet Jackson, Alice Cooper and more. Yet Simon Cowell managed to look bored during those performances as well.
Even though Lee DeWyze is the newest American Idol, I am sure that both he and Crystal Bowersox will have successful careers.

I believe Crystal Bowersox will be more successful than Lee De Wyze…But I am delighted that Lee De Wyze is the new AMERICAN IDOL….I love his male Cinderella story….He will never have to work in a paint store again….He did not have too many stellar achievements in life until this…Here was a creative kid who was stuck with high school regimentation…..High school is torture for creative Introverts…..I am sure Lee will learn how to give articulate interviews and appear self-assured on the stage and in the media….He is open to be molded into a celebrity…He has the natural talent to be a star and will learn how to become a star in the process….Lee De Wyze deserved to win….He has grown more on AMERICAN IDOL than any other contestant and will continue to grow……An amazing win for a simple guy who deserves this achievement….
