Paul Rudd is going to guest star on ‘The Simpsons’ and I think that will be an episode of the classic cartoon that I will actually watch. Don’t get me wrong, I think ‘The Simpsons’ is funny and I grew up singing the Bart Simpson rap, “Yo, what’s been happening dude…” but I’m just not an animated TV show type of gal.
However, I am a Paul Rudd fan! I think he has to be one of the nicest and funniest and most talented actors in Hollywood. Okay, he is about one of 4 or 5 stars I’ve actually seen (can’t really say met) and he was hilarious. It was at a press junket and he was the funniest guy there, and that’s no small feat as he was sitting next to Steve Carell. And well, let’s be honest, he is pleasing on the eyes as well, oh, so pleasing.
But the crux of this article is not about his handsome looks or wit, though you should go and see ‘Dinner For Schmucks’ on July 31st! It is about his coming back to TV (remember he married Phoebe on ‘Friends’). EW.com states that after a humiliating JumboTron incident involving Bart, Homer is sent to a “fathering enrichment class” run by Rudd’s Dr. Zander, a therapist who’s horrified to learn that Homer has a habit of throttling Bart. “For 20 years we’ve shown Homer strangling Bart and we’ve never had anybody go, ‘Oh, that’s horrible!’” says Jean. “So Paul Rudd goes, ‘That’s terrible!’ and he tries to cure him.”
Sounds like it will be a great episode! But I would watch anything Paul Rudd starred in, be it TV, Movie, Theater, Music Video.
