The Hunger Games movie is based off of the book by Suzanne Collins. It is part of a brilliant trilogy and has a lot of fans who are eager to see the world of Panem in a movie. The Hunger Games movie won’t be out in theaters until March 2012 as they are currently still filming it but some photos have already been released to get fans excited.
First of all, I have to say that the characters don’t look exactly like I pictured them from reading the book. I am most disappointed in the Peeta casting; though I love Josh Hutcherson as an actor, I really expected his character to look more blond. Academy Award nominee Jennifer Lawrence has been cast as Katniss and seems to fit the role better than I thought she would; and Liam Hemsworth plays Gale, Katniss’s best friend from childhood.
The world of ‘The Hunger Games‘ is a dystopia and I would recommend everyone to read the book before the movie comes out. All 3 of the books are captivating, chilling, engrossing and ultimately provide a glimpse into emotions and the world that we don’t always want to see.
